About
Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519) was an Italian polymath whose curiosity spanned art, science, anatomy, engineering, and philosophy. He painted the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, two of the most famous works in history, while filling thousands of notebook pages with scientific observations centuries ahead of his time.
His anatomical drawings, studied by dissecting over 30 human corpses, were the most accurate of his era. He designed flying machines, armored vehicles, solar power, and double-hulled ships — none built in his lifetime but all proven feasible by modern engineers.
